Das bernsteinfarbene Getr\u00e4nk der Inseln von Guadeloupe, wo die traditionelle Herstellung des \u00abRhum agricole\u00bb die Zeit \u00fcberdauert hat, ist ein Erlebnis f\u00fcr die Sinne. Nach der Ernte gelangt das Zuckerrohr per Lastwagen zu den Brennereien, wo es wie hier in Sainte-Rose sofort auf Qualit\u00e4t und den nat\u00fcrlichen Zuckergehalt gepr\u00fcft wird. Anschliessend wird es zu einem Lagerplatz bef\u00f6rdert, bevor es in den M\u00fchlen zermahlen wird, der erste Schritt des langen Destillationszyklus.
