Seit 1999 besch\u00e4ftigt sich Charles Fr\u00e9ger mit Symbolen der Gruppenzugeh\u00f6rigkeit \u2013 vom Seemann bis hin zum Legion\u00e4r. In seinem Kultbuch Wilder Mann<\/em> pr\u00e4sentiert er eine Auswahl seiner Arbeiten zu dieser Thematik und begibt sich auf eine Reise durch die europ\u00e4ischen Volkstraditionen. Daf\u00fcr durchstreifte er \u00fcber viele Winter hinweg den Kontinent \u2013 von Finnland bis Griechenland \u2013 auf der Suche nach Menschen, die sich als Tiere oder Naturgeister verkleiden. Die Aufnahmen aus etwa zwanzig L\u00e4ndern zeichnen eine Landkarte althergebrachter Riten, die mit den Jahreszeiten und der Fruchtbarkeit verkn\u00fcpft sind.<\/p>\n
