Seit jeher galt dieses Naturschutzgebiet als ein Quell des Lebens. Die Uferbewohner f\u00fchren eine Existenz, die untrennbar mit dem heute bedrohten \u00d6kosystem<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>verbunden ist. Mit m\u00fcheloser Leichtigkeit man\u00f6vriert Bashir Ahmed seinen traditionellen Einbaum, den so genannten Hurro, durch das Wasser. Man sp\u00fcrt, dass ihm diese alt\u00fcberlieferte Praxis f\u00f6rmlich im Blut liegt. F\u00fcr die Mohanas ist das schlanke Boot nicht nur ein reines Transportmittel, sondern ihr schwimmendes Zuhause und ein wesentlicher Bestandteil ihrer Identit\u00e4t.
