Geheimnisvolle Hu\u0308gel mit sanften, harmonischen Rundungen erheben sich im Herzen der su\u0308dkoreanischen Stadt Gyeongju. Hin und wieder flankiert oder kr\u00f6nt ein stolz aufragender Baum die mit zartgru\u0308nem Gras bewachsenen Miniaturhu\u0308gel. Diese stattlichen Hu\u0308gelgr\u00e4ber, die eine H\u00f6he von bis zu 30 Metern erreichen, sind keine natu\u0308rlichen Gebilde, sondern die Grabst\u00e4tten der K\u00f6nige und Adligen des Silla-Reiches, der Dynastie, die fast ein Jahrtausend lang, von 57 bis 935 n. Chr., u\u0308ber die koreanische Halbinsel herrschte.
